The name "Tennis and Squash Shop" dates back to its origin in 1927, in Harvard Square, Cambridge Massachusetts. The shop serviced the needs of the local Boston colleges and business people. in 1939 the addition of ski equipment and clothing was added to the stores inventory. The shop was purchased from the original owner in 1967 by Bruce and Carl Fuller.  A second store front was added in 1971 in Wenham Massachusetts.  When Carl Fuller retired, the Cambridge location was sold however it maintained the same name. At about this time the Store in Wenham began operating under the DBA name of "Sports Stop", which at the time better described the variety of available merchandise.  In 2014 the store officially  changed ownership from Bruce Fuller to it's long time manager and president Matt Thibeault.

 

Since it's inception, the Sports Stop has been providing outdoor/indoor sporting equipment for the community, specializing in Tennis, Ski, and since the late 70's Snowboarding. We have a state of the art in-house ski, snowboard tuning center as well as a fully stocked racket repair service area.
